Meet the 9b team
9b is an Agile, self-organizing team made up of experienced data analysts and developers, certified auditors and accountants, and former educators and journalists.
Wendell Mitchell
Senior Analyst
Wendell Mitchell is a data warehouse and business intelligence professional with experience in several key areas of the data management life-cycle. He is passionate about working with data and maximizing the critical role it plays in enabling organizations to succeed.
Wendell specializes in Business Intelligence; Data Architecture, Governance, Integration, Quality, and Warehousing; Database Administration and Development; Data Visualization and Reporting; and Dashboard Development.
Wendell is a Microsoft Certified Professional and a Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate (MCAS).
Holden Mitchell
Senior Developer
Holden Mitchell is a full stack web developer.
Most recently Holden served as the Lead Developer for Tulsa Public schools, leading a team of five developers and one designer.
Prior to that, he taught for three years at Will Rogers High School through Teach For America.
Holden has a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Oklahoma.
He is a Certified Scrum Master and Certified Product owner.
Arianna Pickard
Developer
Arianna Pickard develops programs for data acquisition, management and analysis, including web scraping, calling APIs and building databases.
She was trained in software programming and big data analysis in a master's of Software Development at the University of Utah.
Before graduate school, Arianna worked as a news reporter covering courts and education at the Tulsa World. Her bachelor's degree is in Journalism from the University of Oklahoma.
Pedro Amorim
Data Scientist
Pedro Amorim is a data scientist and machine learning engineer.
Pedro graduated with a master's of science degree in chemical engineering from the University of Notre Dame, where he conducted molecular computational research applied to water purification.
Pedro draws on his experience as a catechist to incorporate the human element into analysis and put individuals first when trying to solve a problem.
David Connolly
Generalist Designer
David Connolly is a visual artist and educator of nearly 20 years.
David comes to 9b from Crossover Preparatory Academy, a private, all-boys academy in north Tulsa, where he taught English and humanities for two years. At 9b, David helps inform and design meaningful, intuitive user experiences with data.
David earned both his BFA in visual arts and art history and his MFA in painting and printmaking from the University of Tulsa.
Molly Pickard
Documentation Manager
Molly Pickard is an experienced communicator with a focus on technical writing.
Molly writes and manages documentation through every phase of a data analytics project, which includes interview memos, user stories, and training manuals.
Before 9b, Molly worked at KERA, the NPR/PBS member station in Dallas, Texas. She graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Journalism from the University of Oklahoma.
Alyssa Doty
Project Manager
Alyssa Doty has over 20 years of experience working in the nonprofit and community development world.
Alyssa supports 9b as a project manager. She is also the Director of Operations at Poetic Justice, a Tulsa-based nonprofit organization that offers restorative writing and creative arts programs to women who are incarcerated.
Alyssa earned her master's in Medical Anthropology from the University of Denver in Colorado and her bachelor’s in Interdisciplinary Studies from Oklahoma Baptist University.
Nathan Pickard
Senior Analyst
Nathan Pickard, CIA, CISA, has been an IT auditor and data analyst for 15 years.
Before founding 9b, Nathan helped start a data analytics program at Williams. He is proficient in Galvanize, Arbutus, and Tableau.
He has his MBA from Oklahoma Christian University and a bachelor’s in Accounting from Northeastern State University.
David Osborn
Senior Analyst
David Osborn specializes in helping nonprofit organizations discover meaning and value in their data.
David began his career in public accounting and earned his CPA. Most recently, David was Manager of Due Diligence and Business Intelligence at ClearRidge Capital.
David graduated from the University of Oklahoma with a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration in Accounting.
David Paddock
Senior Analyst
David Paddock is an experienced web programmer and data developer.
David came to 9b from Williams, where he created data analytic projects to facilitate corporate and operational audits.
David is proficient in Galvanize, Arbutus, and SQL. He has bachelor’s degrees in MIS from the University of Central Arkansas and Economics from Oklahoma State University.
